Lexi Parra is a Venezuelan-American photographer and community educator based primarily between Caracas, Venezuela and New York. Her work focuses on youth culture, the personal effects of inequality and violence, and themes of resilience. She has a joint degree in Photography and Human Rights from Bard College (2018).  

Parra has contributed to publications like The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others.

She is a member of Diversify Photo and Women Photograph. Parra was featured on Artpil's 30 under 30 and was a 2023 participant in The New York Times Portfolio Review. She has received  a Diversify x Getty Inclusion Grant (2022) and is a Pulitzer Center Reporting Grantee (2021). 

Parra is the founder of Project MiRA , an arts education initiative that fosters visual literacy and critical analysis with youth in the barrios of Caracas. Project MiRA has been supported by Canon USA and the Davis Peace Prize. 

Parra is bilingual (Spanish, English) and available for assignments internationally.
